Zior founder and fearless leader
An award-winning esthetician with specialized training and years of expertise, Nikki Roiz founded Zior Skin & Body to redefine skincare in New Mexico. As a trusted Albuquerque esthetician, she specializes in advanced acne treatments and personalized skin therapies, delivering results-driven care with a luxury touch.
When Nikki decided to start her own skincare business, the name Zior was the obvious choice: Zior (Roiz backwards) is a direct reflection of the family and values that have been with her every step of the way.
Whether you’re looking to refresh, restore, or transform your skin, Nikki and the Zior team are your go-to expert for skincare that truly works.
The Zior timeline and story
It all started about a year after Nikki had her first baby. Her hormones went wild, and she developed severe acne. A friend invited Nikki to try a facial and she noticed such a difference that she was inspired to go to esthetics school.
While at Olympian Academy of Cosmetology in Albuquerque, NM, Nikki completely fell in love with corrective skincare, and being able to help people with all sorts of different skin conditions (though helping clear up acne will always be her passion).
After graduating, Nikki started her business out of her home. Shortly after, she had to pause due to a high-risk pregnancy. When her daughter was 9 months old, she went back to work as an esthetician at Rio Grande Bodyworks until COVID shut it down two years later.
While Nikki was out of a job because of COVID, her friend Lisa Kellam (owner of Luster Skin & Body) was down an employee for the same reason,. So, she invited Nikki to work for her there. Thanks to her mentorship and guidance, Nikki launched Zior in 2022.
A couple of years later, Lisa had to leave her business. And, thanks to Zior’s growth, Nikki was able to take on Lisa's business in a merger and pay her back for her mentorship and guidance by caring for her clients in the same way she did.
The path to present-day is one Nikki is deeply grateful for. She truly cares for each client and is honored to be apart of their self care journey.
